As Christians, we are all commanded to spread the gospel. This can be done in many ways, that is why we each have different talents and gifts which the Lord gave us. Writing is a powerful way to share the gospel of Christ. Writers can reach readers in parts of the world they never planned to physically visit.
This is my goal in life: to reach people I will never meet until we are together in heaven with the Words of God. When I read Psalm 102:18 in my devotions one day, I adopted that as my new motto. To think that anyone can reach people that haven't even been born yet is an amazing thought! It makes me want to write that much more!
The Story That Started It All
I always loved to write. When I was nine I wrote my first story called "The Hunchback Bug." I felt proud as I sat at my Mom's typewriter and pounded away at the keys. Later on that story came up missing. I never knew what happened to it until my Mom passed away. My Dad gave all four of us kids our baby books that Mom had meticulously kept up with. Inside were treasures of all kinds: hair, reward certificates from school, honor roll certificates, report cards, and that story. She had kept that story all those years, safely tucked away. I still have it.
My mother was definitely my inspiration for writing. She was also a writer. She made sure I went to writer's conferences so that I could learn as much as I could. She read everything I wrote and gave me advice, constructive criticism, and encouragement.
While my love of writing may have come from my mother, my talents came from the Lord. It is He that receives the glory every time I get an acceptance letter.
Please enjoy the books that are listed on this website. God is working and I am excited to see what He will be doing next!
